"FWD2A is the callsign which we were informed from Wallis by e-mail for JH2BNL", Mine JA2NQG says. "However, this may be changed with a more ordinary one by the officer in person upon our visit to Wallis Telecom". The team plans to operate 160-10 metres CW, SSB, RTTY, SSTV and FM with 100 watts and "simple antennas". The side trip to Futuna (OC-118) is

Founded by Eric Scace (K3NA) and Carsten Esch (DL6LAU) in 2007, Radio Expeditions, Inc is a permanent, non-profit organization of volunteers whose first project was the 2008 VP6DX record breaker expedition to Ducie Island. The second project is a DXpedition to Jarvis Island (OC-081), which is planned to take place between 17 November and 1 December (depending on weather and sea conditions).
The dates were chosen to maximize propagation openings on both low and high bands to Europe. A large group of operators will staff 12 stations on CW, SSB and RTTY on 160-6 metres. They plan to renew the callsigns from their previous DXpedition, C50C or C52C used in The Gambia 2007, the greatest Slovak expedition of its kind ever. The special callsign C5A will be reserved for the CQWW DX CW Contest. The core team of the very successful DXpeditions to Norfolk Island in 2007 (VK9DNX) and Willis Island in 2008 (VK9DWX), plus a few high experienced operators, will be active as ZL8X from Raoul Island, Kermadec Islands (OC-039) in November. According to the preliminary schedule, thirteen operators (namely DJ5IW, DJ7EO, DJ9RR, DK1II, DL1MGB, DL3DXX, DL5CW, DL5LYM, DL5XL, DL6FBL, DL8OH, DL8WPX and SP5XVY) expect to be QRV from 19 November to 5 December with seven high power stations on 160-10 metres CW, SSB and RTTY. Celebrating the 200th anniversary of indipendence of Colombia, amateur radio operators who are members of the Liga Colombiana de Radioaficionados (HK3LR) are allowed to replace their ordinary prefix HK or HJ with 5K and 5J respectively during the month of

The International Space Station is now under construction and is permanently manned by teams of astronauts, many of whom have amateur licenses. Amateurs from the ISS partner countries, in the USA, Russia, Japan, Europe and Canada, have set up ARISS (Amateur Radio on the International
Space Station), a program to develop and put into operation the on-board amateur station.
